Security & Confidentiality in Lexbe

One advantage of Lexbe's software-as-a-service model to you is that we handle security and confidentiality for you using industry best practices.

Online Security.  Lexbe Online uses 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, the same used by banks to protect financials transactions,  to secure all data transferred between your computer and our servers.  briefcase Data sent via a SSL connection is protected by encryption, a mechanism that prevents eavesdropping and tampering with any transmitted data. SSL certificates also provide non-forgeable proof of a web site's identity.

Physical Security.   briefcase We host our services from a Tier-1 data center fed by dual OC-48 uplinks and equipped with redundant power, premium network connectivity, fire suppression, security and advanced monitoring systems. Our network is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our data center provides a 99.99% uptime guarantee. Physical security features include physical isolation from everyone but authorized technicians, 24/7 security camera surveillance, and network operation center monitoring.

Backups.    We make daily backups of all client data to a separate secure server located at a physically distinct data center.  A remote backup is superior to a local backup in that it guards against the consequences of a data center catastrophe, such as fire, earthquake, etc., by maintaining client data in a separate location.  All client data is encrypted as part of the backup to the remote server.

Confidentiality.  We understand that all communications between us and a client regarding a case are intended to be confidential and may also include protected attorney work product and attorney client information. As part of our client agreement, we agree to not disclose any information we receive from a client to any persons other than those a client designates.
