Largest Free Collection of
Advanced Litigation Articles Released

Legal Research resource offers free searchable access to over 500 litigation articles

AUSTIN, TX, July 19, 2007
Lexbe announced today the release of Litilaw, at Litilaw.Lexbe.com, an online collection of over five hundred articles written by lawyers as part of advanced presentations given at continuing legal education (CLE) seminars and conferences.  Litilaw represents the largest collection of free advanced litigation articles available on the internet.  Lexbe anticipates that the collection will continue to grow at a substantial rate.

Litilaw's articles are written by lawyers and are of particular interest to litigators looking for the latest research on a particular topic.  Articles are organized in over 30 substantive and procedural legal specialties, including Antitrust, e-Discovery, Health Care, Litigation Support and Tax.  Plus, the collection is text-searchable to allow users to find articles by applicable keywords.  All articles are available full-text in PDF format.  Descriptions also include a brief summary, the year presented, author and number of pages, to make for easy review.

Litilaw allows CLE authors to list their presentations in Litilaw, making these valuable materials more accessible to other interested lawyers, in-house counsel and clients on the web.  Lawyers sometimes host articles they have presented on their law firm websites, but usually do not get widespread exposure.  Litilaw links into these articles through the document collection.  Alternatively, Litilaw offers to freely host CLE articles for lawyers who do not wish to host the articles themselves.

Gene Albert, a founder of Lexbe and a lawyer himself, said: "Lawyers have known for years that the best legal research is often found in these recent CLE presentations.  When a practicing lawyer who is an expert in a specialty stands up in front of colleagues to speak, he or she makes sure the materials are of the highest quality.  Unfortunately, these great presentations are difficult to find.  Often they are presented once at a seminar or conference, and then not redistributed or republished on the web.  Or they may be buried in a firms' website and not seen by others who do not know where to look.  We decided to create Litilaw to bring all these resources together in one place and make recent developments in the law more accessible.  These presentations are all timely and substantial, and many are of journal or book length.  We are happy to make so much high quality legal material available for free."
